PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solution composition which can easily be produced and stored for a long period and is used as a non-specific immunopotentiator having antibacterial and antiviral actions, to provide a method for producing the composition, and to provide the use of the composition. SOLUTION: This alkali solution composition is characterized by comprising 100 pts.wt. of sodium metasilicate (Na<SB>2</SB>SiO<SB>3</SB>-5H<SB>2</SB>O), 1 to 15 pts.wt. of borax (Na<SB>2</SB>B<SB>4</SB>O<SB>7</SB>-10H<SB>2</SB>O), 10<SP>-5</SP>to 10<SP>-4</SP>pts.wt. of sodium thiosulfate (Na<SB>2</SB>S<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>-5H<SB>2</SB>O), 30 to 150 pts.wt. of potassium carbonate, 30 to 200 pts.wt. of purified white sugar (C<SB>12</SB>H<SB>22</SB>O<SB>11</SB>), 100 to 200 pts.wt. of water, and, if necessary, one or more of sodium chloride, silver thiosulfate and sodium molybdate.
