The invention comprises compounds of the formula <FORM:0874570/IV (b)/1> where R is an alkyl radical of 1-4 carbon atoms. These compounds may be prepared by reacting a fluorophenylthiomethyl halide with a salt of an O,O-dialkyl-thiolphosphoric acid, preferably at elevated temperature and in inert diluents such as alcohols, lower ketones, benzene and toluene.ALSO:Insecticidal compositions comprise a solid or liquid extender or diluent and a compound of formula <FORM:0874570/VI/1> where R is an alkyl radical of 1-4 carbon atoms. Suitable solid diluents are chalk, talc, bentonite and kieselguhr. Suitable liquid formulations are the aqueous emulsions obtained by using auxiliary solvents (e.g. acetone) and an emulsifier. |
