An electric rail car having an emergency exit is provided to quickly and safely evacuate passengers by extending the emergency exit from the front head part to the ground in an emergency. An electric rail car having an emergency exit includes a frame, a first foothold(11), a second foothold(13), and a handle(15). The frame is installed at an opening. The first foothold is rotatably installed by a first hinge part(14) at a lower part of the frame. The first foothold opens and closes the opening by a driving part. The second foothold is rotatably coupled with a lower part of the first foothold by a second hinge part(12). The handle is installed on both sides of the first and the second foothold in the longitudinal direction. The passengers safely and rapidly escape from an emergency as the emergency exit is extended to the ground.
