PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development support device for a PLC network system constituted so that understanding of network configuration is facilitated when the PLC network on the premise of existence of PLC extended over a plurality of networks is observed by using a network editing screen prepared by every network. SOLUTION: The same one controller, a controller to be a gateway and controller selected on one screen are displayed intelligibly for a user, respectively, on two or more network editing screens by providing the development support device for the PLC network system with two hierarchical structures, such as hierarchical structure constructed from the viewpoint of a network and hierarchical structure constructed from the viewpoint of components and properly performing retrieval processing of the data base on the premise of data bases in which both hierarchical structures are linked between the lowermost layers.
