PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing material which is more inexpensive than UV-curable resin, can easily correct a defective sealed part and is sufficient with the irreducible minimum amount used with respect to the sealing material which seals peripheries of stuck glass substrates in the manufacturing of an FPD. SOLUTION: The peripheries of stuck glass substrates are sealed with the sealing material which comprises an adhesive of a heat-melt type of a softening point of at least 60°C having hydrofluoric acid resistance, and has a melt viscosity at melting temperature 180°C of≤650 mPa s and a melt viscosity at melting temperature 80°C of≥300 mPa s.
