PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for controlling the number of VoIP terminal communications in a wireless LAN system that enables securing high audio quality VoIP communications, even when simultaneous communications are performed by a plurality of VoIP terminals. SOLUTION: The number of VoIP communications is limited as subordinate to an identical access point, and the number of VoIP communications is controlled by detecting a VoIP call origination command by which the access point starts communication, and a call termination command; thereby when VoIP communication exceeds the number of communications limited, in advance, is to be started, a Dis-Association packet is transmitted to the wireless LAN VoIP terminal.
