PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint structure, surely constructed even when the joint structure of impervious sheets is a little complicated, and having high reliability of impervious performance to be economical. SOLUTION: In this impervious sheet construction method for installing the impervious sheet in a groove 2 or the like, a rolled part 3c of the impervious sheet 3 put in the groove 2 or the like is moved along the groove 2 or the like, to deploy the rolled impervious sheet 3, the sheet edge 3a inside of the roll is rotated along the groove 2 or the like 2 toward the opposite direction to the moving direction of the roll, whereby the end part of the impervious sheet 3 is folded back to pull up the sheet edge 3a outside the groove 2 or the like. and outside the groove 2 or the like, the sheet edge outside the roll of a new impervious sheet is joined to the sheet edge 3a of the preceding installed impervious sheet 3. After that, the sheet edge 3a of the preceding installed impervious sheet 3 and the new impervious sheet are turned downward to thereby return the folded-back end part of the impervious sheet 3 to the initial state and also put the impervious sheet in the groove 2 or the like.
