PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a liquid detergent composition having a high solubility of boric acid and/or its salt, excellent in safety on working, and further having a good preservation stability. SOLUTION: This method for producing the liquid detergent composition is provided by dissolving (A) boric acid and/or its salt in an aqueous solution containing (B) an acid component and preparing a premix in advance, having 5 to 30 mass% content of the (A) boric acid and/or its salt, and pH 5 to 8 at 25°C.
