PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure decomposition capability while avoiding an extreme elongation of retention time and at the same time suppressing the peripheral effect and considerable increase of band concentration of fine particles by suppressing a flow speed of a carrier solvent near an outlet port in a crossflow type separation channel. SOLUTION: The channel height H of a separation channel 50 is narrowed along the flow direction of an axial flow F 2 to suppress the degree of narrowing the channel width W. Accordingly, the cross-sectional surface area of the flow channel in the outlet port 16 side is made small, so that the flow speed of a solvent can be avoided. Further, since the channel width can be widened near the outlet port 16 as compared with that in a conventional case that the channel height is constant, an increase in the bond width concentration of the fine particles can be suppressed and fine particles having a wide range of diffusion coefficient can be separated at a high separation capability.
