PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce blow-back of wind to a user and to prevent scattering of water drops and dripping of water to a shell from the hand insertion part of a hand dryer at the same time by separating the wind including water drops after applied to a hand into water drops and wind and discharging the separated wind only. SOLUTION: The hand dryer comprises the body shell 1 with the hand insertion part 4 whose upper part only is opened for inserting a hand, on the upper side; a high-pressure air flow generating device 2 built in the body shell 1 for generating a high-pressure air flow; a nozzle 8 for jetting the high-pressure air flow generated by the high-pressure air flow generating device 2 to the hand insertion part; a water container 9 provided on the lower side of the body shell 1; and an exhaust path connecting the hand insertion part 4 and the water container 9. The exhaust path for discharging air jetted from the nozzle 8 is formed under the hand insertion part 4 to be connected to the hand insertion part 4, and an opening 11 for releasing air to the outside is formed at the exhaust path.
