PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which enables the more accurate sensing of the positions of game balls rolling within the playing area. SOLUTION: A discharge area 301 is partially provided behind the playing area 15 and a liquid crystal display device 32 with a photosensor is also provided behind it. The liquid crystal display device 32 with a photosensor has a protrusion part 32b in a region without the discharge area 301. The positions of the game balls in the regions where no discharge area 301 exists behind them within the playing area 15 are sensed with a photosensor 321 installed on the liquid crystal display device 32 with a photosensor. Furthermore, the positions of the game balls in the regions where the discharge area 301 exists behind them within the playing area 15 are sensed with a two-dimensional sensor 350 provided on the side rim part of the playing area 15.
