PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress steering difficulty when performing the braking/driving of an automobile on a rutted road. SOLUTION: The auxiliary steering torque is increased as the wheel loads of steered wheels are larger (a fourth torque calculation means 28). In other words, when the wheel loads of the steered wheels is large, the auxiliary steering torque is increased. For example, when a car is traveling on a rutted road with one of the steered wheels riding on the rut (when a ground contact point of a road surface with the steered wheel is on the outer side of the vehicle width direction), the braking force is generated in the steered wheels, the wheel loads of the steered wheels are increased, the forces working between the steered wheels and the road surface are increased, and the rotational moment for rotating the steered wheels around a king pin shaft is increased. When the steering torque is generated, a large auxiliary steering torque is generated, and as a result, steering difficulty when the car is braked/driven on the rutted road can be suppressed.
