PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, a method for producing a thin film, and a method for manufacturing the device and electronic equipment, whereby the formation of a thin film outside a lyophilic bank layer is prevented and a plurality of thin films with a desired thickness is formed uniformly on a substrate. SOLUTION: The device includes a substrate 2; a partition 41 which is provided on the substrate 2, and has an opening formed so as to define the substrate 2; and a luminescent function layer 61 which is provided in a region defined by the partition 41 on the substrate 2, and has a hole injection layer 63 and a luminescent layer 64 formed on the substrate 2. In the partition, lyophilic layers 51, 53 and liquid repellency layers 52, 54 are laminated alternately. The liquid repellency layer 54 is located at a top layer of the partition. The openings 51a to 54a are coincident each other when viewed in plan. The top face of the hole injection layer 63 is coincident with the top face of the lyophilic layer 51.
