PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toll automatic collecting system in which erroneous discrimination of a car model can be prevented by simple equipment. SOLUTION: The toll automatic collecting system is provided with: a photographing part for photographing the image of a vehicle advancing to the travel lane of a toll booth; a read part for reading car model information and number plate information from a recording medium provided from the vehicle in the travel lane; a collation part for extracting the information relating to a number plate from the image and collating it with the number plate information; and a calculation part for calculating a toll by using the car model information when the result of the collation shows coincidence. When the result of the collation does not show coincidence, a person in charge in the toll booth is requested to input the information of the car model. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
