PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator improved in heat exchange efficiency of a cooler. SOLUTION: The refrigerator 1 has the cooler 11 producing cold air, and it is provided with: a refrigeration chamber 2 carrying out refrigeration preservation of stored objects; a vegetable chamber 5 communicated with the refrigeration chamber 2 to carry out cooling preservation of vegetables at an indoor temperature higher than the refrigeration chamber 2; a freezing chamber 6 carrying out freezing preservation of stored objects; and a temperature switching chamber 3 switchable between a low temperature side carrying out cooling preservation of stored objects and a high temperature side with a higher temperature than the ordinary temperature by cooling by the cooler 11 and heating by a heating apparatus 16. Cold air flowing out from the vegetable chamber 5 and the freezing chamber 16 is returned below the cooler 11, and cold air flowing out from the temperature switching chamber 3 is returned to vertical middle part of the cooler 11 via a return ventilation passage 17.
