PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underground position detector capable of accurately finding in real-time the position of a drill tip in the ground during underground excavation in boring work or the like. SOLUTION: Voltages are induced to an X-axis coil, a Y-axis coil and a Z-axis coil of three-axis detector coils 12, 13 and 14 of three receivers 11, respectively, by means of magnetic signals oscillated from a primary excitation coil 2 of an oscillator 1 installed to a drilling tip of an excavator; a controller 18 calculates position data indicating the oscillator 1 (drill tip position) based on the induced voltages and displays them on a display unit 17; sensor signals from a temperature sensor 3, a pitch angle sensor 4 and a roll angle sensor 5 of the oscillator 1 are received by a sensor antenna 15; and the controller 18 calculates a detected temperature, a detected pitch angle, and a detected roll angle and displays them on the display unit 17.
