TECHNIQUE FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT AFTER GASTROECTOMY

A technique for the reconstruction of the gastrointestinal tract after gastroectomy comprises passing the long loop of the intestine to the esophagus through the cut in avascular area of the transverse mesocolon after gastroectomy and generation of the cuff-like esophagointestinal anastomosis followed by tailoring interintestinal Broun's enterostomy. The intestinal loop is passed behind the colon. The afferent and efferent segments are sutured in L-shape mode generating vertical and horizontal elbows from the sutured afferent and efferent loops. In the area of the transition between vertical and horizontal elbows, the end-to-side esophagointestinal anastomosis is formed on the thick gastric probe employing the single invaginating sutures involving all the layers. The anastomosis is wrapped from right to the left with the horizontal elbow of the intestinal duplicature sewed as the cuff with the serous-muscular sutures above and below the line of the generated esophagointestinal anastomosis.
