APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF CARBON-NANO-TUBE

An apparatus and a method for manufacturing carbon nanotubes are provided to improve productivity of a carbon nanotube synthesis process and reduce the production cost. An apparatus for manufacturing carbon nanotubes by reacting a carbon sauce gas with a metal catalyst includes: a catalyst reduction unit(100) which reduces the metal catalyst; a carbon nanotube synthesis unit(300) which synthesizes carbon nanotubes; and a catalyst supply unit(200) which delivers the reduction-treated metal catalyst from the catalyst reduction unit to the carbon nanotube synthesis unit. The catalyst supply unit includes: a storage tank(210) which stores the reduction-treated metal catalyst delivered from the catalyst reduction unit; a carrier gas supplier(220) which supplies carrier gas to the storage tank; and a catalyst supply line(230) which provides a passage for delivering the metal catalyst stored in the storage tank to the carbon nanotube synthesis unit by the carrier gas.
