WRIST-WEAR USER INPUT APPARATUS AND METHODS

A wrist-wearable user input device and a method thereof are provided to analyze vibration transferred through a body and the gesture of the user, thereby enabling a user to input a command to an information device easily through intuitive gesture. A vibration signal amplifying/measuring device(21) measures a vibrational sound transferred through the body of the user and amplifies a measured vibrational signal. A gesture signal measurer(22) measures a gesture signal according to hand gesture of the user. A signal processor(23) performs the command corresponding to an analysis result by analyzing the vibrational signal and the gesture signal. The signal processor includes a vibrational signal processor(231), a gesture signal processor(232) generating a hand gesture signal by recognizing the hand gesture command, and a command transferor(233) transferring the hand gesture signal to an external device through a wired/wireless interface.
