<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal having two cases that adopts a folding type or a slide type, or the like for making the distance from a key unit validate the security protection constant, at all times irrespective of the opening or the closing state of the cases. <P>SOLUTION: A receiving section 102 receives a wireless signal including ID information transmitted from the key unit via an antenna 101, and a received power measuring section 109 measures the level of the power received. The measured receiving power level is corrected by a correction value for absorbing the change in reception gain due to dispersion in the components of the receiving section 102 and a correction value for absorbing the difference between antenna characteristics, corresponding to the opening/closing state of the cases detected by a state detection section 112, and a security lock determining section 111 compares the corrected reception power level with a prescribed threshold, to determine the magnitude of the level.
