<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication equipment which is easily compatible with a plurality of radio tags and a plurality of host devices or the like. <P>SOLUTION: In the communication equipment, a plurality of communication modules for communication with external devices by wire or radio are connected with each other through transmission paths. Each of the plurality of communication modules holds its own identification information and function information on communication.
