PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce electric power consumption in the case of detecting positions by coin cells and other power supplies. SOLUTION: A digital signal processing part 13 specifies satellites, of which the GPS signals can be received on the basis of the reception sensitivity of radio waves transmitted from a plurality of satellites, and n-pieces of channel decoders of a multi-channel decoder 15 can demodulate GPS signals and extract information. A GPS control circuit part 17 determines the channel decoders to which GPS signals of the specified satellites are to be allotted, controls the channel decoders to which GPS signals are allotted into an operating state, and controls the channel decoders to which GPS signals are not allotted to go into a stopped state of operation.
