PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make polysiloxane materials having proper material characteristics. SOLUTION: New fluorosiloxane-containing monomers are disclosed. These are especially useful for preparing biomedical materials such as contact lenses. A fluorosiloxane-containing monomer wherein a hydrogen-having polar fluorinated graft bound to a terminal difluoro-substituted carbon atom, or a side group is bound to a siloxane group in the polysiloxane-containing monomer is disclosed. The fluorinated polysiloxane is dissolved in a hydrophilic comonomer in an extent not needing an additional mixing agent or a solubilizing agent. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
