PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform pressing of a rear end by a rear end pressing lever over a wide pressing area and to cope with a high speed with a short inter-paper time without generating interference with a release claw. SOLUTION: In the sheet conveying device having an end surface stapling tray F for temporarily storing the conveyed sheet and a plurality of rear end pressing levers 110a, 400, 110c for pressing a neighborhood to a sheet rear end of the end surface stapling tray F, a plurality of pressing surfaces (400a, 400b) of the rear end pressing lever 400 for pressing a sheet central part in a direction perpendicular to a sheet conveying direction of the plurality of rear end pressing levers 110a, 400, 110c are provided. The pressing surfaces 400a, 400b are provided on a distal end of the rear end pressing lever divided to a fork-like shape and are symmetrically arranged relative to the sheet central part.
