PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter apparatus for detection of microorganisms, simultaneously carrying out collection of microorganisms and detection of microorganisms without accompanying breakage, etc., of a membrane filter and without using a specific tool, attaching to a counting device by extremely simple operation procedure and rapidly counting microorganisms and improving counting accuracy of microorganisms in a microorganism-counting device. SOLUTION: The filter apparatus 10 for detection of microorganisms used for microorganism-counting device for carrying out image analysis is equipped with a membrane filter 4 for collecting microorganisms. In the filter apparatus 10, a support screen 5 having small holes for filtering a specimen and a ring-shaped member 6 for retaining the outer periphery part of the membrane filter 4 are provided, and the membrane filter 4 is arranged on a support screen 5 and the outer periphery of the support screen 5 is supported by the ring-shaped member 6.
