FIELD: organic chemistry, medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to N-(5-hydroxynicotinoyl)-L-glutamic acid mono- and bivalent salts of the general formula: wherein X means CaOH; Y means hydrogen atom (H) (I); X = Y and means Na (II); X = Y means K (III) that show antidepressant, anxiolytic, geroprotective, neuroprotective, antihypoxic, anti-insult and nootropic effects. From the known preparations and among them the nearest analogue, i. e. N-(5-hydroxynicotinoyl)-L-glutamic acid base (nooglutyl), the novel compounds differ by the presence of psychotropic effects, namely antidepressant and anxiolytic effects, and neuroprotective and geroprotective effects also. These effects show capacity for reducing damage foci in insults and improving neurological deficiencies, mental and physical working capacity in ageing. ^ EFFECT: improved, enhanced and valuable medicinal properties of compounds. ^ 11 tbl, 11 ex |
