<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium having a layer for recording information of a small capacity such as recording and reproducing condition information, wherein holographic recording is not performed, and capable of performing reproduction from a holographic recording layer. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical recording medium 1 wherein a reflection layer 3, a recording layer 4, a wavelength selection reflecting layer 8 and the holographic recording layer 9 are sequentially layered on a substrate 2, reference light and signal light interfere with each other from a side of the holographic recording layer 9 to record information as interference fringes on the holographic recording layer 9 and the interference fringes recorded on the holographic recording layer 9 are irradiated with reference light to reproduce information, the recording layer 4 is a phase change layer, a dyestuff layer or an inorganic material layer wherein two kinds of inorganic materials generating reflectance difference due to thermal mixture are layered. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
