PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner capable of improving the stability of its physical properties and print quality while reducing the amount of toner particles discarded. SOLUTION: The toner is obtained by blending toner base particles with an external additive, wherein when the external additive coverage of particles of d25 or below in a volume-base particle size distribution of the toner is represented by C<SB>25</SB>and the external additive coverage of particles of d75 or above by C<SB>75</SB>, the coverage ratio of the C<SB>25</SB>to the C<SB>75</SB>satisfies a relationship represented by the formula (1): 1.1≤C<SB>25</SB>/C<SB>75</SB>≤2.0.
