PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the service life of a battery, while increasing its initial actual capacity by charging the battery in an ideal state. SOLUTION: The battery charging method has a step of charging a battery at a predetermined voltage at full capacity. The battery charging method has a step of fully charging the battery so that a set voltage for battery charge is reduced, as charging/discharging is repeated. Thus, deterioration of the battery can be prevented efficiently, while increasing the initial actual capacity, and the service life of the battery can be prolonged while increasing the actual capacity as mutually contradictory characteristics.
