PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking device which can recover an operable state by means of another braking state control means even when the braking state by means of one braking state control means cannot be released. SOLUTION: The braking device 100 serves as the braking state control means for hydraulically controlling the braking state, and has a first braking state control means for generating the braking state when the hydraulic pressure has exceeded a required value, and a second braking state control means for generating the braking state when the hydraulic pressure has become lower than the required value. The braking device 100 comprises a first actuator 2 which controls the hydraulic pressure in the first braking state control means by the output pressure of the first actuator 2 and lowers the output pressure down to the input pressure when the input pressure of the first actuator 2 has become lower than the output pressure, and a braking state releasing means 11 which releases the braking state by the first braking state control means by lowering the input pressure of the first actuator 2 down to the required pressure when the braking state by the first braking state control means cannot be released.
