PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible tube for an endoscope which can be easily manufactured and can prevent the deterioration and damage of internal organs in high-pressure steam sterilization, etc. SOLUTION: The flexible tube 1 for the endoscope has a core material 2 with a spiral tube 3 formed by spirally winding a belt-like material with spacings 31 and an outer cover 5 covering the outer periphery of the core material 2. Also, it has a sealing member 6 for closing the spacings 31 of the spiral tube 3. Such a sealing member 6 is composed of a material containing a fluororesin and has a steam barrier property.
