An apparatus for dispensing a fixed quantity of water in a water purifier is provided to dispense an accurate quantity of water, by blocking the supply of water if the number of pulses corresponding to water flux is equal to a predetermined number of pulses. A water dispensing pipe(120) dispenses water for a water purifier from a water storage tank(110). A rotating unit(130) includes a rotator positioned within the water dispensing pipe and rotating along the flow of the water, a magnet joined to the rotator, and a fixer fixed within the water dispensing pipe. A sensor(140) magnetically reacts according to rotation of the rotator to measure a quantity of the water, and transmits the number of pulses corresponding to the measured quantity of the water. A controller(150) keeps the supply of the water if the number of pulses is not equal to the number of pulses corresponding to a predetermined quantity of water, and blocks the supply of the water if the number of pulses is the number of pulses corresponding to the predetermined quantity of water. Further, the sensor reacts with an N pole or an S pole magnetically according to a rotation of the magnet.
