<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk recording/playback device equipped with a recording method for suppressing power consumption even in the case of recording in a double-layer optical disk in intermittent recording employed in DVD-CAM. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with a laser control means 104 for controlling laser power, a β value measuring means 105 for detecting asymmetry of a reproduced RF signal, a laser control control means 106 for outputting a control signal to the laser control means 104 to change a laser, an interlayer power detection means 107 for obtaining a difference in optimal recording power between first and second layers, and a storage means 108 for storing the difference value of the optimal recording power, an address with the laser power changed in the first layer, and a laser power changing amount at the address. β correction is not performed on the second layer, so that power consumption is suppressed, and recording is carried out in entire double-layer disk area without the degradation of recording quality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
