摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform matching process of electrode patterns in a short time without decreasing the positioning accuracy, even when the number of electrodes is very large and their arrangement is random. <P>SOLUTION: A first rectangle which circumscribes all the electrodes is set (S12) in a coordinate system describing arrangement of the electrodes provided for an electronic component. A corner exhibiting the highest electrode density is selected from the set first rectangle (S13). A second rectangle in which the electrode density is the lowest is determined from rectangles of the same area which are set from the apex of the corner as the starting point (S14). The arrangement of electrodes included in the second rectangle is set as a matching pattern (S15-S17). The matching pattern is stored. A pattern of electrodes corresponding to the matching pattern is extracted from a shot image coordinate system of the corresponding electronic component.
