PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slider for a slide fastener, which smoothly slides and prevents a cloth attached with the slide fastener from being scratched by a pull. SOLUTION: This slider for the slide fastener has a slider body including: an upper blade part; a lower blade part; a guide column connecting the upper blade part and the lower blade part; a pull mounting part; and a raised structure extending upward from the upper blade part, wherein the raised structure of the slider body is vertically extended between the upper blade part and the pull mounting part, and the raised structure is provided with a vertical groove part at the opposite vertical side parts. The vertical edge part guides and stores adjacent edge parts A, B of an article to expand the adjacent edge parts A, B into a wedge shape, whereby smooth sliding can be achieved, and the cloth to which the slide fastener is attached can be prevented from being scratched by the pull.
