The handle has a flexible, longitudinally running handle piece (4) to be gripped at a center between two fastening units (2, 3) spaced apart from each other and fastened to an outer side of a travel suitcase. The handle piece is movably supported at one of the fastening parts in its longitudinal direction. Stops (16, 17) limiting movement of the handle piece are provided such that the handle piece is transferred from an elongated initial position, resting on an outer side of the suitcase, into a gripping position that is curved upward.
