A wearing article in which turn-up at the side edge of waist due to shrin kage of an elastic element located along the edge for defining the opening o f waist is suppressed. In the wearing article comprising a first fastening c omponent (7a) provided along the side edge of at least any one of a front wa ist region and a rear waist region, and a second fastening component (7b) pr ovided along the side edge of the other of the front and rear waist regions, the first and second fastening components engaging with each other removabl y, the wearing article has a waist elastic region extending along an edge de fining the opening of waist, and the upper end of the second fastening compo nent is located higher than the upper end of the first fastening component a nd the upper edge of the waist elastic region. |
