<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a printing plate made of a resin which has a minute dent pattern on the surface, by using a laser engraving method. <P>SOLUTION: This manufacturing method of a sheetlike or cylindrical printing substrate having an indentation pattern on the surface includes a laser engraving process wherein the dent pattern is formed on the surface of a printing original plate by means of a pulse oscillation near infrared laser beam. The portion of a thickness of at least 50 μm from the surface of the printing original plate consists of a resin cured substance having light beam transmittancy in a near infrared region and an ultraviolet region, and an average output of a pulse oscillation near infrared laser beam source used in the laser engraving process is 0.01 W to less than 5 W. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
