PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an osteogenesis promotion composition free from side action such as hypertension by using deep ocean water rich in mineral components and a method for producing the composition.

SOLUTION: The invention discloses an osteogenesis promotion composition produced from deep ocean water at least containing a calcium ion, magnesium ion, boron ion, silicon ion and alkali metal ion by desalting the alkali metal ion (especially the treatment by a dialyzer using a mosaic charge membrane) and a method for the production of the composition. The invention further relates to an osteogenesis promotion composition obtained by adding at least one kind of substance selected from a plant of the family Equisetaeae, its extract and a trehalose compound to the above composition.
