<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision avoiding system capable of assisting avoidance operation by a driver without limiting output of an actuator even in a fail-safe state, in the collision avoiding system for avoiding collision and alleviating impact. <P>SOLUTION: The collision avoiding system for controlling an on-vehicle device to avoid collision and alleviate impact is provided with obstacle detecting means (11, 12, 17) for detecting an obstacle approaching to a vehicle. In the fail-safe state limiting output to the on-vehicle device, when an abnormally approaching obstacle is detected by the obstacle detecting means (11, 12, 17), the output limitation to the on-vehicle device is temporarily released. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
