PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file structure for recording still pictures onto a recording medium, and creating and recording their management information in order to ensure efficient access. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the file structure of data to be recorded on a rewritable recording medium, wherein each reproduction list file has a file structure that contains a plurality of play items, and attribute information containing a coding system is recorded in the play items.
