PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device preventing a display part from being in contact with the eyeball when the display part collides against an object ahead when in use. SOLUTION: A cushioning member 7 is provided to a face side around a display part 5 when in use. The cushioning material 7 is made of a soft elastic material such as rubber and is apart from the face when in use, and when the display part 5 is pressed from the front, the cushioning member is brought into contact with the face before the display part 5 is brought into contact with the face to prevent the display part 5 from being in contact with the face. Therefore, when the display part 5 is pressed from the front, the display part 5 is prevented from being in contact with the eyeball and the eyes are prevented from being damaged.
