PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium in which, when a menu generated by one recording apparatus is recorded into the information recording medium, and thereafter, the information recording medium is loaded in another recording apparatus, then a processing load and a processing time which are normally not required do not occur in the other recording apparatus. SOLUTION: The information recording medium contains a title of an AV content formed as a partial section which is the whole or a part of a digital stream. The information recording medium contains a play list having information for identifying a title by designating the position of the partial section in the digital stream and the reproduction order, a program for controlling reproduction of the title by calling the play list, an "Index" containing a "Top Menu" for identifying a menu and a "Program IDRef" for identifying a program, in association with each other, and an "Extension" containing a "Top Menu" and a "Play List ID" in association with each other.
