PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel and a recording tape cartridge in which any variation in the dimention of a product is not caused by burrs at the end face of a hub. SOLUTION: A hub 22 is formed by forming integrally a resin ring 112at an outer peripheral plane of a metal ring 110, but a step part 132 where the metal ring is exposed is formed at a lower end part side of the resin ring 112. Also a positioning part 136 where the step part 132 of hub 22 can be inserted at a central part of a lower flange 26, Positions in the height direction of the lower part of the resin ring 112 and the lower part of the metal ring 110 are deviated so that the step part 132 is plane-contacted to an upper plane of the positioning part 136. Thereby, a minute gap exists between the metal ring 110 and a metal mold forming the hub 22, even if fluid resin causes turn-in burrs in the gap, the burrs turned-in by the fluid resin is caused in the gap, the burrs never be rounded-in the lower end face of the metal ring 110. Therefore, variation by burrs never be caused at the lower end face of the hub 22 by which positioning is performed in size of productions. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
