PROTEIN PARTICLE FOR USE IN ISOLATING OR DETECTING TARGET PROTEIN AND METHOD FOR USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for isolating or detecting a target protein using protein particles. SOLUTION: An isolating or detecting element for isolating or detecting a protein constituted of carrier protein-particles comprising a specific protein interactive with a target protein in a specimen namely a source of the target protein to be isolated, which specific protein is characterized by being embedded in the carrier protein-particles exposing itself on the surface of the carrier protein-particles in such a manner that it can bond to the target protein upon mutual contact of the two proteins and by bonding to the target protein in the specimen upon mutual contact of the two proteins is disclosed. A method for isolating or detecting one or more of proteins in a specimen namely a source of the proteins to be isolated selectively isolating or detecting a target protein from each of the proteins is disclosed. The above method comprises steps of (1) forming a functional polygonal body comprising a specific protein which is exposed on the surface thereof and (2) adsorbing and isolating a group of proteins in a specimen namely a source of the proteins to be isolated interactive with the specific protein using the above functional polygonal body as carrier protein-particles.
