PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a time of a period to the polishing of a rotary blade (an upper blade and a lower blade) while maintaining cutting sharpness favorably for a long period of time. SOLUTION: In the cutting device, a magnetic tape whole cloth 14 is cut into a plurality of magnetic tapes 12 by a plurality of rotary upper blades 26 mounted to a rotating shaft 40 for the upper blade at predetermined intervals and a plurality of rotary lower blades 28 mounted to a lower-blade rotating shaft 34 for at the predetermined interval. In the cutting device, the tip end part of the rotary upper blade 26 and the tip end of the rotary lower blade 28 are disposed to be overlapped with each other, and slidably rotated in such a state that tips overlapped with each other are press-contacted. The cutting device is equipped with a press-contact means 46 for press-contacting the mutual tips to be overlapped of the rotary upper blade 26 and the rotary lower blade 28 by a press-contact force of 1 kgf or less, and a crossed axes angle adjustment means 59 for adjusting the crossed axes angle of the rotating shaft 40 for the upper blade and the lower-blade rotating shaft 34 for.
