FIELD: mechanics. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to glass cutting and can be used in direct-line cutting of two sheet glasses in industry and at home. The said device contains the first handle made from insulating material. It also has the first and second thermo decoupling electro conducting posts, the first end of which make the electrical contacts of the wires, the other ends being intended for connection to power supply. The device incorporates an element acting onto the glass made from a conducting material, the said element ends being connected to the second ends of appropriate posts, the first post first end being fixed on the first handle. The device has also the second handle also made from insulating material and linked with the second post first end. Here, at least, one of the handles has a casing made from insulating material to house a coil for electric conductor. The coil is furnished with a rotary handle made from a dielectric material, while the post fixed on such handle is made in the form of a pipe, the second end of which is furnished with a sliding contact for clamped electrical conductor. Here, the electrical conductor end passes, through the sliding electrical contact, the spaces of posts and handles to get attached to the coil cylindrical base. ^ EFFECT: cutting without making preliminary notches by glazier, cutting two glasses, varying length of cutting element. ^ 4 cl, 5 dwg |
