<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive which can correct recording power with sufficient accuracy, when transmittances change in layers between a laser beam incidence plane and an information recording layer which records information of the optical disk medium, even if the amount of return light itself is changed within one revolution of an optical disk medium. <P>SOLUTION: Information about transmittances between a laser incidence plane 110 of the optical disk medium 101 to a specific information recording layer (L1 layer) 104 is acquired based on an optical detector 5 which acquires light-emitting power information on the laser, an optical detector 8 which acquires measured power information on the return light, and the acquired light-emitting power information and return light measured power information.
