<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device capable of carrying out a stable tracking by reducing the influence of stray light from a recording layer other than an original recording layer. <P>SOLUTION: The stray light 101 is condensed once before reaching a light receiving part 8 after divided by a hologram element 3. Thus, an optical spot is formed so that the stray light is collected around the center of the light receiving part 8. Since divided areas 3e and 3f receive a part of the stray light 101, optical spots 103a to 103d and optical spots 103e and 103f are formed on the light receiving part 8. Thus, the divided areas 3e and 3f are formed, thereby suppressing optical spots from being formed on a detection elements 8j and 8m caused by the stray light 101. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
