<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make common use of structural elements in an optical scanning device and diversification of optical scanning devices compatible. <P>SOLUTION: The frame of an optical scanning device 5 is constituted by jointing a first enclosure 61 and a second enclosure 62 with a screw 63 or the like. The first enclosure 61 supports a first optical system (not shown), including a light source unit, a polygon scanner 51 and a fθ lens 52, while the second enclosure 62 supports a reflection mirror 53 and a toroidal lens 54. In an image forming apparatus, having a different configuration layout, another second enclosure, having a different shape and a different optical path form in place of the second enclosure 62, is coupled to the first enclosure 61 and constitutes an optical scanning device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
